Level 1
0-250 clock hours

This foundation course at Albany Beauty Academy concentrates on the essentials of cutting, color, texture, styling, skin and nail care, while also introducing students to our unique academy culture.

Prospective professionals gain theoretical knowledge of these fundamentals and apply them hands-on in a secure classroom environment.

Using mannequin heads, students receive individualized attention from a Learning Leader who guides them through every step of the learning process.

Level 2
251-1,500 clock hours

After completing the Level 1 foundation program, learning at Albany Beauty Academy extends to both the classroom and the clinic floor.

Aspiring professionals practice and refine their fundamental skills in a practical setting. Advanced students have the opportunity to work on real-life models in a salon-style environment under the guidance and supervision of their Learning Leaders.

Students will be exposed to professional products and gain hands-on experience in conducting client consultations and delivering exceptional guest services.

The environment is similar to that of a salon, with a fast-paced and challenging atmosphere that pushes students to develop their speed and finesse their techniques. Through this phase, students can build their portfolio and resume to prepare for the state board test.
